Family Pics - The "REAL" sneak peek!

I won a family photo session for New Year's and we finally kept everyone well enough to get it done. Thanks SO much to Stefanie Stratton at SugarSnap Photography for taking these awesome pics! Just a few of them:

Who is this grown-up handsome guy?

What a stud muffin! (Remember that phrase? LOL)

My sweet, sweet boy.

She loved the "popcorn" on the trees!

Who could resist this face? I wanna squeeze those cheekies!

This is one of may favs.

Cute little lady

I captured a little of the "cuteness" from this little one this week and wanted to share. She has such a great disposition and is just plain fun! It makes me very sad that she is almost 10 months old. (Sorry, I try not to make the blog all about the baby, but sometimes it just happens!)

February in Review - SUPERBOWL!

Yeah, SOOOO...between a baby with RSV, being sick myself TWICE and recovering from my yucky yuck January, blogging in February just didn't happen! Aren't you glad I'm going to catch you all up tonight?

We're Superbowl fans at our house, and this year since Kirt's team, THE PACKERS, were playing in it, we had big party plans. UNTIL, our little Noah told us we shouldn't watch it on Sunday. (EEEEK!) What could we say to that? He was right. So, we set our DVR to record the game, and figured the only way for us to keep the Sabbath day holy AND watch it before Kirt went to school the next day and heard all about it, was to get up EARLY Monday morning. Early as in 4:30 AM! Yeah, crazy but we did it. We were all so excited.

We went to bed at 9pm Sunday night. At 3:30, Kirt woke up and turned the T.V. on in our room. I scoffed at him and told him to shut it off. He did, and then he tossed and turned until I kicked him out of bed. (Well, that's MY side of the story. :)

He went downstairs and started it WITHOUT me. He just couldn't wait! Here is what the crew looked like when we started.

Getting ready for a touchdown...

He's IN!

Nearing the end of the game now, and they pretty much know the Packers are going to take the game.

The end result!

Poor Mia. We tried and tried to wake her up, but she just couldn't wake up! She finally got out of bed as we were ready for breakfast around 6:30 and very extremely disappointed that she had missed the Superbowl. We told her she could watch it later that day, but she never mentioned it again. ;) To make up for her missing it, we all promised to have a "Tea Party" with her. She didn't say another word and went along her merry way planning the tea party!

The "make-up" tea party

As said said in the previous post, we all promised Mia we would have a special tea party to make up for her missing the Superbowl. So we did. I made coffee cake (which ALL the kids love), scrambled eggs and orange juice the following Saturday morning. She invited us all to the tea party, but told us we had to wear our "best dress". For the boys that meant neckties, and for the girls? Jewelry. LOTS of it.:)

How am I ever going to prove that I attended these events? I'm never in the pictures... Haha.

Tutu I love you!

I have so many talented friends. Really, I do. Remember this cake? Yeah. Awesome, Shannon. Well, my friend Janell made these fabulous tutus for the girls for Valentine's Day. Mia absolutely loves hers and Emme gets to wear hers only when mommy is watching so she doesn't eat it. :)The two have had several dress up parties with the tutus already and Mia is even loving wearing hers to dance. It's so original and she loves that nobody else has one like it!

Up to no good!

Aren't I cute? Yeah, I know. I'm the best child ever and I NEVER get into any trouble. I am a perfect angel.

Hmmm. That looks interesting. My mom went to change the laundry. I wonder what she would do if I explored that...

Hey look! I found my sister's toy! This might fit in there. I wonder what would happen if...

Oh no! She's back! Awww, man...caught in the act! Well I guess all I can do is smile. Maybe next time she changes the laundry I can get away with it...

Can you believe that? She really found that and was almost sticking it into the outlet when I came back in the room! Yeah. I bought outlet covers at Wal-Mart today and they are all in place now. Better luck next time, sweetie pie! This child hasn't even been mobile for 2 weeks yet but she's wasting NO time!

New Hits!
