Nothin' sweeter than this...

One Sunday afternoon I sat down to play my piano and Kirt decided to lay down on the carpet to listen to me (since there was no couch in that room yet, due to the move). I heard Mia come in and saw her lay down by him, but I kept playing. The next thing I knew, I turned around to find this perfect moment. I had to run for my camera before the moment was over. This is one little girl who sure loves her daddy.

Snowy Saturday

We managed to escape our busy lives and headed to Enterprise last weekend to enjoy the snow and hang out with the cousins a bit. I wanted to share some pics.
It all started out like this.
And this.
And then it evolved to this. (Noah LOVED going down just in his snow suit!)
And this.(Crash and burn, Jax!)
And even this. (At least it wasn't yellow snow...)
Our little angel making a snow angel. She loved it. She did it over and over.
We had a wonderful time, even though it was very cold for us! The kids did great. I thought they'd be bawling that they were cold after about 15 minutes. It was actually me who finally said it was time to go after a few hours.

Shelves

Alan came down and helped me build some shelves for my new garage. They are great! I am going to build some more later but for now here are the ones Alan showed me how to build. Don't they look Great?? Thank you Alan!

WHEW!

So, I've been a slacker blogger all through the holidays. Isn't that great? I've thought about it several times, but making the time during the move was difficult.

We closed on our new house the 22nd of December and that night began the cleaning process. Kirt and my dad set out cleaning carpets while I started on floorboards and walls. The next day, the 23rd, we cleaned like MAD. Kirt's mom and my good friend Heather Claseman were my staples that day, helping me from 9 am until we quit at around 5pm. Some of the young women also showed up to help as well as a few others from the ward. Kirt was anxious and started moving things in that day. For a minute, we even decided that we could get it all moved in by Christmas Eve and spend Christmas in the new house, but I just wasnt' up for it. SO, we did all we could that day, and spent a lovely last Christmas at the "little house" as we now call it.

Saturday was moving day. We told everyone we would start at 10am, and the Elder's Quorum and Young Men showed up about 9:45. We had EVERYTHING moved out in a little over an hour! We really just had the big stuff and a few boxes left, but many hands made light work, FOR SURE! My brothers and dad moved my piano...(Can you BELIEVE I let them do that???) and did a great job. They were extra careful and I didn't see any new scratches or dents.

OK, now for the fun part. Are you ready? I LOVE MY NEW HOUSE! I promise I will post pics when I find the ones I took, but you must know what a blessing this house is. Heavenly Father definitely knows how much we can handle because I was NOT handling living in that house anymore. We were all on top of each other, the boys were fighting more than ever and nobody had any personal space. Since we moved in here, there have been very minimal fights and when they DO fight, I don't hear it as much because they're DOWNSTAIRS! :) Yup. Love it.

So, as our moving adventure comes to an end, I wish the unpacking would too... I need a magic wand to make these boxes unpack themselves. :)

Lucky me!

*DISCLAIMER* This is an icky, sweet, disgusting post. Don't say I didn't warn you!

I am the absolute luckiest woman in the world. Yesterday Kirt and I celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary. I really can't believe it's been 13 years! Since we have an almost 12 year old, I guess that's a good thing, but it really feels like we've only been married a few years.

One of the things Kirt promised me when he asked if I would marry him, was that he would make me laugh every day. I can honestly say that he has followed through on that promise. :) Now, for those of you that know me well, sometimes that isn't too hard, but sometimes it's a real chore!

Not everyone gets to spend the rest of their life with their best friend...but I am BLESSED! I do. :) Kirt puts up with a LOT at times. I can be grumpy, moody, bossy, loud, obnoxious, even unkind at times...and the list goes on and on. Kirt looks past all of that and puts his focus on my good qualities. He is always positive and upbeat and sets a great example of love and service in our home.

Last night he pampered me by asking his parents to come and tend (even though they had JUST pulled back into town from a long trip to SLC-thanks Mom and Dad K.!) and taking me to eat at my FAVORITE restaurant: Olive Garden. He even went Christmas shopping with me after. (Wow. That means A LOT, considering how much he hates to shop. :)

Thanks for the BEST 13 years of my life, babe. I'm looking forward to mAnY, MANY more! I love, love, love you!
